From our Wanneroo Golf Club member Jim Selwood:
“Please join our family in the fight towards Brain Cancer. We will be taking part in Walk4BrainCancer to raise money for world-class brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness.
In July 2023, we lost our beloved daughter, sister, wife and friend Jess.
Her strength everyday was inspiring and she touched so many people with her story. Her spirit continues to be a light in this world. As a family we want to continue the legacy that she left.
Jess had such a positive outlook and attitude during her fight. She worked closely with the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and was committed to helping others. Each year, our family and friends led by Jess participated in the Walk4BrainCancer. This year, for the second time, we will be walking in honour and memory of Jess.
The walk’s success has contributed to Cure Brain Cancer Foundation’s investment of over $30 million in brain cancer research. In the past year alone, the foundation has committed $8 million to bring the GBM Agile clinical trial to Australia.
If you are able to please consider donating to our fundraiser to raise money for vital research, advocacy and to improve statistics for brain cancer patients.
Jess was adamant that even if a cure wouldn’t come in her lifetime, that as a community we continue to fight for a cure for those affected by this devastating disease”
